MHS Flash Freeze Going Into February Break

Over 20 members of the Middleborough High School (MHS) Community including students, teachers & one administrator got a little cold and wet on Friday morning to raise money for a great cause.

Members of the MHS participated in the traveling polar plunge provided by Special Olympics of Massachusetts. A custom made plunge tank was brought to MHS for the day so students could take the plunge. Participants were asked to raise at least $50 to take the dip and brought in over $2,500 total for this event. Members of the MHS Student Council will do a Polar Plunge in the ocean in March when they attend the MASC State conference and continue to raise additional funds for the Special Olympics.

In 2023 the Special Olympics of Massachusetts raised over $880,000 from Polar Plunge events and expect to raise more this year.
