StartSTRONG Freshman Orientation
Welcome, Class of 2030!
A little nervous about starting high school? No worries! StartSTRONG is Middleborough High School's two-day freshman orientation program designed to help you make a confident transition into high school.
You'll meet new classmates, connect with student leaders, explore the building, receive helpful tips from current students, and learn everything you need to start your freshman year as a proud Sachem.

Why Attend StartSTRONG?
The transition to high school is one of the biggest milestones in a student's academic journey. StartSTRONG is designed to help incoming freshmen feel prepared, confident, and excited for the first day of school.
By participating, students will:

Build confidence before the first day of school.

Become familiar with the school building and daily schedule.

Learn practical tips and strategies for freshman success.

Meet classmates and begin building friendships.

Connect with over 160 trained student Orientation Leaders.

Program Schedule
Day 1 – Becoming a Sachem
Wednesday, August 19
10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Students will:

Participate in interactive workshops led by our Orientation Leaders.

Learn the essentials for a successful start to high school.

Take part in fun team-building activities.
-
Build connections with classmates and student mentors.
-
Enjoy dinner with their new classmates.
Day 2 – Preparing for Success
Thursday, August 20
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Students will:
-
Receive their class schedule.
-
Have the opportunity to meet teachers.
-
Tour Middleborough High School.
-
Hear from a motivational speaker.
-
Celebrate with the Class of 2030 pizza party.
Meet Your Orientation Leaders
Our StartSTRONG program is powered by more than 160 student Orientation Leaders who represent every aspect of student life at Middleborough High School.
These student leaders have been specially trained to welcome incoming freshmen, answer questions, share their own experiences, and help every student feel comfortable and connected before the school year begins.
From the moment you arrive, you'll have a team of upperclassmen ready to help you every step of the way.

Planning is already underway to welcome the Middleborough High School Class of 2030!
